Get ready to "Discover the Sweeter Side of Aging" at the 23rd Annual Senior Lifestyle Expo taking place Tuesday and Wednesday, August 21 and 22, 2018 at the Drury Lane Conference Center, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. Expo hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With a fun old school candy theme and something for everyone, attendees will enjoy entertainment, games and attractions; educational seminars for seniors and caregivers; health and wellness events and screenings; and the largest gathering of exhibitors in the area, providing information on products and services specific to older adults. 

The entertainment this year will include a presentation on the history of candy companies in Chicago, a live candy making demonstration, musical numbers and more!

In conjunction with the Senior Lifestyle Expo, the Agency on Aging Northeastern Illinois will be hosting a FREE Caregiver Seminar for those giving care and support to seniors on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The doors will open at 6:00 PM and the seminar program will begin at 6:30 PM.

Susan Frick, MSW, LSW, the Director of Without Warning(r), will be screening a documentary called "Too Soon to Forget" and leading a discussion on the effects and impact of younger onset Alzheimer's. The documentary film tells the stories of nine families from the RUSH Alzheimer's Disease Center's support group, Without Warning(r), and takes an in-depth look at the particulars of younger onset Alzheimer's and provides information to help educate viewers on the impact it has on the people it effects.
